"Summer Lovin'" really had audiences having a blast in 1978 when the romantic musical comedy Grease hit theaters, starring an up-and-coming John Travolta and rising singer Olivia Newton-John.

The film was a huge success, and is still a major influence on many musicals to this day. When it came out, it made nearly $400 million at the box office and ended the year with the second best-selling soundtrack of 1978, falling behind Saturday Night Fever, another Travolta hit.

The film spawned one sequel with a completely new cast, as well as a live TV adaptation on Fox earlier this year.

Though John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John will always be the faces in our memories from Grease, the rest of the cast still went on to do a lot of work, many turning to the voice acting world. Let's take a look at the cast and see what they've been up to for almost four decades.

Danny Zuko — John Travolta

Since Grease: Blow Out, Look Who's Talking, Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty, Face/Off, The Punisher, Hairspray, From Paris With Love, Savages, American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson

Sandy Olsson — Olivia Newton-John

Since Grease: Xanadu, Two of a Kind, A Christmas Romance, It's My Party, Glee, A Few Best Men, Dancing with the Stars

After Grease, Newton-John went back to focusing primarily on her music career while still appearing in some smaller and poorly-received movies.

Kenickie — Jeff Conaway

Since Grease: Taxi, Berrenger's, The Bold and the Beautiful, Babylon 5, Jawbreaker, Man on the Moon, Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star

Sadly, Conaway passed away in 2011 at the young age of 60, the cause of death being attributed to multiple symptoms including pneumonia and encephalopathy.

Doody — Barry Pearl

Since Grease: Growing Pains, ER, My Favorite Martian, The Newest Pledge, Grease Live!

Following Grease, Pearl found major success in children's theater and as a supporting actor in many TV shows.

Betty Rizzo — Stockard Channing

Since Grease: Six Degrees of Separation, To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar, The First Wives Club, Must Love Dogs, Sparkle, Echoes in the Darkness, The West Wing, Out of Practice, The Good Wife

Frenchy — Didi Conn

How does it feel knowing Grease is 38 years old? Who was your favorite character in the film? Did you like the live TV version?
