If you're a dedicated reader of George R.R. Martin's acclaimed book series A Song of Ice and Fire, you're probably familiar with a certain furry creature who spends most of his days lying around the Red Keep in King's Landing.
Tommen's pet cat, Ser Pounce, has so far made only a brief appearance on the show in Season 4, Episode 4, "Oathkeeper." When Margaery goes to visit Tommen's chambers in secret before their marriage, the sassy feline leaps onto her lap. Tommen discloses that Joffrey had threatened to kill Ser Pounce and put his remains in Tommen's food. What a nasty little psychopath he was!
But, since the internet loves cats — and Joffrey died before he could off this kitty —we've all been desperate to know where dear old Ser Pounce has been the past couple of seasons.
The Hollywood Reporter recently caught up with the young Dean-Charles Chapman, who plays Tommen on the show, to ask him this burning question. He answered with:
"Good question. Ser Pounce must be lying about somewhere. He's a bit of a diva. [Laughs]. He's probably drinking some cocktails somewhere, laying out in the sun."
There you have it! Ser Pounce is indeed alive and well on the show, but he's clearly been too busy boozing it up and lying in the sun to care much about what goes on in Westeros.
All we can do is hope he makes another appearance in Season 6 (still two more episodes to go, c'mon Ser Pounce!) or latest Season 7.
Do you want more Ser Pounce on Game of Thrones?
