Remember a few months ago when Kayne West released his much anticipated album The Life of Pablo? Well, even if you didn't listen to any of the album, there was no escaping the song 'Famous,' which received attention due to a lyric — "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, why? I made that bitch famous" — referring to Taylor Swift.

Following the album release Taylor's people hit back at West, claiming that although Kanye had asked her to release the single on her Twitter account (which she declined to do), he never informed her of the actual lyric itself.

Then, Swift subtly called out Kanye and the song during her Grammy acceptance speech for Album of The Year. Swift told fans:

"As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, take credit for your accomplishments, or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, some day when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.”

Shots fired.

But just when we thought Kanye vs. Taylor Part II had simmered down, today Kim Kardashian West has spoken out claiming that Taylor knew about the song and the lyric all along.

In an interview with GQ, Kim claimed that not only did Taylor know about the lyric the whole time, she even said she would joke about it! Kim said:

“She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”
“[Swift] totally gave the okay. Rick Rubin was there. So many respected people in the music business heard that [conversation] and knew. I mean, he's called me a bitch in his songs. That's just, like, what they say. I never once think, [gasping] ‘What a derogatory word! How dare he?’ Not in a million years. I don't know why she just, you know, flipped all of a sudden.… It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I'm so against this, and I'll just laugh and say, ‘The joke's on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.’ And I'm like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again.”

Then, when Kim was asked whether the pair have been in contact since the song was released, she replied:

"No. Maybe an attorney's letter she sent saying, ‘Don't ever let that footage come out of me saying that. Destroy it.’ "

However GQ also reached out to Taylor Swift's camp for comment, and received the following response:

“Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognizes the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West. However, that does not change the fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect. Kanye West and Taylor only spoke once on the phone while she was on vacation with her family in January of 2016 and they have never spoken since. Taylor has never denied that conversation took place. It was on that phone call that Kanye West also asked her to release the song on her Twitter account, which she declined to do. Kanye West never told Taylor he was going to use the term ‘that bitch’ in referencing her. A song cannot be approved if it was never heard. Kanye West never played the song for Taylor Swift. Taylor heard it for the first time when everyone else did and was humiliated. Kim Kardashian's claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone.”

The plot thickens! So who to believe? Well, it seems like you could pick either side because with this feud descending into a classic "he said, she said" debate.

However it is interesting to note is that Swift's ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris, was recently photographed out wearing a pair of Nike Yeezys. The same pair of Yeezys that Taylor Swift's brother, Austin videoed himself throwing in the garbage just four moths ago:

Is this a show of Kanye solidarity, or perhaps a scorned ex out to anger his former partner? Or maybe, just maybe they were the only pair of shoes he had to hand. Who knows, but the speculation sure is fun!

What do you think the truth is?
