Spoiler Warning: Spoilers ahead for Suits Season 5 finale.

The American Legal Drama Series Suits ended with a lot of emotional drama when Season Five ended with Mike Ross turning himself in for a two-year sentence so that his partner and mentor Harvey Specter didn't have to face time in prison. It was a plot-twist many fans didn't expect to see, and which according to Suits creator Aaron Korsh was only conceptualised a day before filming it. With Rachel and Mike now separated, and the law firm Pearson Specter Litt in disarray, how will everyone be moving forward next season?

Patrick J Adams (Mike Ross) told E! News that he was happy the show could now focus on Rachel's life — her life in law school and being at Pearson Specter Litt, and not focus on how she has to deal with Mike's secret.

"'s a great season because she's separated from Mike. Her story is not about how she can service Mike or take care of Mike or keep Mike's secret or be mad at Mike."

While fans were assuming that there could be a possible time-jump to post the two-year sentence for Mike, Aaron Korsh had this to say to THR:

"We're coming back right where we left off. We're coming back to the very night that we ended the episode on. The entire episode as is currently contemplated takes place with Mike's first night in prison and the first night back at the firm when they've come back and it's empty."

He was absolutely adamant that there would be no time-lapse in the Season Six. This was also made pretty apparent when in the teaser for the next season, they showed Mike's hair being shaved off, and also regretting not waiting for the verdict and instead pleading guilty.

"I made a decision, I can't go back in time and change."- Mike Ross in the teaser.

Could This Be The Last Season Of Suits?

When asked the same, Aaron had this to say-

"Nothing official currently." Those are the key words. So may be, renewal of the show will depend on the reception of the new season. May be, they feel that the fans (called Suitors) may not like the next season. Will they give us reasons not to like it? I certainly hope not.

Anybody New At Pearson Specter Litt?

We will be introduced to the new face of Carly Pope, who will come to Louis' aid for something that has already happened or will happen next season on Suits. She has been described by the show as "a cultured and perceptive commercial architect, to help partition them away." Can't wait to see the dirty office-politics being back at the firm.

While Harvey, Jessica and Louis will be figuring out how to pick up the pieces from Season Five and rebuild their firm, Mike Ross may have to spend the entire season in prison and adapting quick to survive within those walls.

"There are a few twists and turns. But he's not a jailhouse lawyer, so to speak.", creator Aaron Korsh said.

Dammit. I was expecting to see a Micheal Scofield being done this season. Fancy a Prison Break mate?

In case you haven't watched the trailer yet:

Suits Season 6 will be back on TV on July 13, 2016 on USA Network.

Do you think Louis Litt is going to do something stupid while Mike's at prison?
