No one actually believes that Kanye made Taylor Swift famous, but there's no denying that he stirs up quite a bit of attention for both of them with their legendary beef.

On the off chance you haven't heard their most recent drama, you can catch the full story here, or just go listen to Kanye's single "Famous" and wait for the part where he says “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”

Basically, Swift called Kanye out for being a misogynist and blatantly wrong. Then Kim K. decided to get involved in her recent GQ interview, claiming Swift was in on it the whole time:

“She totally approved that. She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn't. I swear, my husband gets so much shit for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”

Swift's media team were quick to try and squash that rumor, claiming that although West and Swift did talk on the phone, Kanye never played Taylor the song and she would never in a million years have approved it if she heard it.

But when word leaked out that Kanye might have recorded the alleged phone call, a source told The Sun that Swift's team was quick to make sure that said tape never reached the light of day:

“Taylor got her lawyers to threaten Kanye and demanded that the recording was killed. They stressed the phone call was confidential and that publishing it would violate her rights. It validates that a taped conversation where Taylor was on board with the song does exist, and just shows how worried she is about the truth coming out.”

This doesn't really look great for Taylor's claim that she never knew what the lyric was about or gave the go-ahead, but it doesn't change the fact that Kanye's lyrics are still misogynistic and wrong. To go back to the earlier public statement from Team Taylor:

"Kim Kardashian's claim that Taylor and her team were aware of being recorded is not true, and Taylor cannot understand why Kanye West, and now Kim Kardashian, will not just leave her alone.”

Come on, Kimye: Leave Taylor Alone!!!!
