Guardians of the Galaxy 2 director James Gunn may have just hinted at a possible Spider-Verse event in the MCU. In a recent Instagram and Facebook post/photo, Gunn gave his blessings to Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland, and present in the photo was also, as Gunn said:

“standing in here for Jon is some dude that was passing by.”

While the actor-director duo may have just being at the Spider-Man: Homecoming set as honorable Marvel guests, it is clear in the photo that Chris Pratt is wearing what looks like pants from the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 set.

The way Star-Lord could appear in the upcoming Spidey movie is most likely during a post-credit scene, or… Star-Lord could end up on Earth at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and meet Spider-Man throughout the way. This could link Star-Lord to the Avengers, as Peter Parker would most likely notify “Mr. Stark” after an out-of-this-world occurrence. More exciting is the possibility that it could all be tied to a Spider-Verse event, which could bring more than one Spider-Men to the MCU.

Filming may have just started for Spider-Man: Homecoming, but that doesn't mean that Chris Pratt might not appear in the movie. If he wasn't filming, he could've probably been planning to film or speaking with the director, Jon Watts, about a possible appearance. James Gunn and Chris Pratt might have been at the Homecoming set simply to show their support and best wishes, but with a photo as epic as that, with two super important heroes from two separate "worlds", speculations had to be done.

What do you think? Willl we see Chris Pratt in Spider-Man: Homecoming, or Tom Holland in Guardians of the Galaxy 2? Leave it down in the comments!
