THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FOR GAME OF THRONES - BATTLE OF THE BASTARDS
Last night's episode was truly epic, but there was only one minor complaint: We all knew that the knights of the Vale were going to swoop in a save day (We did). Yet, it didn't take anything away from how brutal the actual battle went down.
There were numerous moments that were long overdue and it only accentuated the short-time that we have is left in Martin's Game of Thrones! Lastly, I have a curious question to ask about Littlefinger?
THE OVERALL THEME OF LEGACIES
Dany and Yara -
There's not much that needs to be said about the events of Meereen; except of how mind-blowing it was to see what Drogan, Viserion, and Rheagal did to the Masters. That was everything that one could hope for.
I personally, enjoyed Yara and Dany's conversation about power. Time well tell and I think they're far more powerful than almost everything that's currently out there! Only time will tell if their alliance will holdup, but I would most certainly bet on it!
Don't worry, this will be quick. Ellaria was not one to sit and wait for Doran's plans to unfold. We only saw them once this season, and you best believe that they're up to something.
I think when Dany arrives in Westeros, they'll form an alliance with the the Mother of Dragons. Plus, when Rheagar married Ellia, you can bet that Dorne will welcome Dany -- and especially her dragons. I can't wait to see how this'll play out!
Sansa is now a boss! She suffered so many tragedies, that most normal people would not go on. I won't go into details about how inhumanely she was treated, but she's a bonafide player in Westeros now!
On Sunday night, we heard Tyrion tell Dany that there is Wild Fire hidden beneath The Sept of Baelor. So, bye-bye to the religion fanatics at King's Landing. I'm not sure how much damage this will do, but the writers have to do something that will make the last episode of the season standout like, Battle of the Bastards!
THE THEME -
I loved what Dany says about leaving this world in a much better place than the one they were born into. I don't want to get political, but to me -- that's what heroes do in dire situations to rise above the filth that was left behind.
I think the show is finally showing its endgame. That kids who were born with a great names, are taking the responsibilities onto themselves. It's inspirational and I hope that it works.
There's only one downside, if Dany does find true love again -- then I think Jon Snow is that man. She would be the queen, but everyone deserves to be happy! And we all know that Dany doesn't need anyone else to make her powerful, except her loyal council. If this were to happen, then I don't think we'll ever find out about, R +L = J. That's okay, but I think Jon would be perfect to sit beneath her! (I could be wrong)
SANSA AND LITTLEFINGER -
So, Littlefinger is in love with Sansa -- and we all knew that for a very long time. I think Sansa will reject him and find someone more suitable for her love (if any). I'm not entirely against this ship, honestly, I wouldn't mind to see this come to fruition. It's Game of Thrones and there's a lot of time left to see what happens next.
I think Sansa played Jon Snow. I think that she wanted him to kill off as many Boltons as possible, so when the knights of the Vale arrived, it'd be an easy victory. If this true, then Sansa is a certified badass! Honestly, I can't figure out why she didn't tell Jon. All I know, it made for great television!
It's fascinating to see the women of Westeros (& Essos) are taking power in the Seven Kingdoms (for the time being, because Winter is Coming). I immensely enjoyed that episode, and now I must talk with a therapist about how much I enjoyed seeing Ramsay's face being mauled by dogs and how happy that made me feel!
There are barely any episodes left, and it's going to be maddening when everything is said and done. I just wanted to focus on the women of this episode and they were exponentially bad-ass! Only time will tell who will sit on the Iron Throne. I looking forward to that moment the most -- and I am terrified that it will be all over.
