American Crime Story actress Selma Blair was taken off a flight on Monday after reportedly suffering from an outburst while traveling from Cancun, Mexico to Los Angeles with her 4-year-old son. According to her Instagram, the pair were visiting Jason Bleick, the little boy's father, for a Father's Day celebration on the beach. Here's a snap of Selma and Arthur playing with toy planes on the way to Mexico:
Officials and paramedics allegedly met the incoming plane at LAX as soon as it landed, before carrying the 43-year-old off on a stretcher and taking her to a local hospital for treatment. As for the cause of the unexpected incident, it appears that a combination of prescription medication mixed with alcohol may be behind the actress's actions.
Witnesses on the plane reported seeing Blair sitting in first class, enjoying a glass of wine. After some time, she apparently began to cry as she spoke about fears regarding a movie role. Her words reportedly were:
"He burns my private parts. He won't let me eat or drink. He beats me. He's going to kill me."
It is unknown who, or what, the actress was referring to. Thankfully, there were two nurses on board to assist Selma in her moment of need, informing the pilot to call the airport ahead and to request medical assistance.
Currently, no official statement has been issued but we sincerely wish Blair a speedy recovery.
