Looking like something plucked straight from the pages of an indie band's photo-shoot, the official teaser poster for the upcoming Power Rangers movie has just been released and we're happy to announce it's stylish AF.
Standing beneath a cluster of stars in some sort of lightning bolt format, the aesthetic of these teasing graphics, it would seem, links directly to the narrative of the new movie, which started filming on March 1st.
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so they will have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
The poster arrives less than 24 hours after the announcement that Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston will be joining the Power Rangers team as the Mighty Morpher's mentor, Zordon.
Fans of the original TV show will know that this isn't the first time Cranston has whipped the Rangers into shape: He used to voice Snizard, the evil snake/lizard hybrid! Check it out:
Saban's Power Rangers is slated for release March 24, 2017.
