Just because Margot Robbie is living the dream as an A-list actress in Hollywood, doesn't mean she didn't once dream of escaping to Hogwarts just like the rest of us!
In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the Tarzan actress made a rather "adorkable" reveal when she told Kimmel that as a teen she lied in order to get a pair of glasses to make herself look more like Harry Potter!
Not only did she tell the story on the talk show, she also brought along some evidence to back it up — a photo of 13-year-old Robbie snuggled up in bed reading Potter and wearing the glasses! Check it out:
"I'm drinking a cup of tea, I'm in bed, I'm really enjoying myself reading Harry Potter, I have braces, which I had for two years, I was really into slicking my hair back, God knows why, and I'm wearing glasses, which I didn't actually need." Robbie told Kimmel, adding "I have 20/20 vision, and I lied to get glasses!" After Jimmy asked why she would lie to get glasses, she replied as all good Potter fans should, "so I could look like Harry Potter!"
Robbie then went onto explain how she pulled off the lie. "I went to the optometrist and was like, "No, I can't see that. Oh my eyes hurt!" My mom's like, "Do you really need glasses?" and I was like, "Yes I do!"'
Well, it definitely sounds like she's been a natural actress from a young age!
Margot Robbie stars as Harley Quinn in the upcoming film Suicide Squad, which hits cinemas on August 5.
