Coming hot off the release of The Conjuring 2, we are already hearing ideas of what horrifying story we are going to witness in The Conjuring 3. This comes as no surprise with the success of the first two movies and all I have to say is "keep em' coming!"

Here is what we have heard about The Conjuring 3 so far:

James Wan might not direct!

This would be a sad day, however it seems like it is indeed a possibility. When speaking with Wan revealed that if we are lucky enough to get a third chapter that there are "other filmmakers that he would love to sort of continue the Conjuring world, if we are lucky enough.” I don’t know about you but this scares me! And not in the good way. I mean look what happened with Annabelle. That could have easily been an amazing spinoff and ended up being a complete mess.

The story will most likely take place in the 80s.

Vera could totally rock an 80s look!

In a recent interview with IGN Wan shared that he already has the setting planned out for The Conjuring 3. “I do have something specific but I’m not going to say it. But I will say this - I do think Conjuring 1 and 2 are both set in the 70s, I think Conjuring 3 has got to be set in the 80s.” This might just be because I am an 80s baby but I am all for this idea! I loved that the first two were set in the 70s but maybe its time to mix it up a little.

The new story might feature Werewolves.

I can only imagine that it would go like this...

Say what?! Yes, you read that right. Apparently the studios have a running list of their favorite Warren cases and one of them features Werewolves. In another recent interview Wan said "Maybe we can go and do it like a classic American Werewolf in London style. That would be awesome! The Warrens set against the backdrop of The Hound of Baskerville.” At first this sounds a little crazy, but when you think about it this idea isn’t too far fetched in comparison to the "Demon Nun" and the "Crooked Man" that we saw in The Conjuring 2. I like this idea but I really think that only Wan can be the one to pull it off and have it actually be scary.

Which of these new ideas do you want to see in The Conjuring 3?
