That's right, folks, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could be adding some fire power to their roster! While there's been speculation on how Ghost Rider could enter the MCU, fans disregarded this as a possibility despite an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Comic-Con advertisement on the side of a San Diego light rail showing what look liked Ghost Rider chains earlier this month.
This was largely disregarded because it was thought that the cost of CGI was too expensive. However, a recent casting list shows that the ghostly antivillain may definitely be in Marvel's plans for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — but it might not be the Ghost Rider with whom mainstream viewers are familiar.
Ghost Rider: Johnny Blaze
Johnny Blaze played by Nicolas Cage cinematically made the character a household name in 2007 and then again in the Ghost Rider sequel in 2011. However, the new casting list suggests that this depiction of the character will be Latino, which falls in line with the 2015 Marvel Now version of Ghost Rider.
Ghost Rider: Roberto Reyes
I personally hope this turns out to be true. Shows like Flash and Supergirl have shown that heavy CGI on television can be done while not breaking the budget. It would be nice to see an iconic character like Ghost Rider in Marvel's flagship TV show.
But those are my thoughts. What do you think? Please share your thoughts below.
Do you think the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider is a good choice for 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'?
