There's been a lot of skepticism surrounding the new Han Solo Star Wars film, with many concerned about whether Alden Ehrenreich will be able to do justice to the role that Harrison Ford made so iconic. However you feel about seeing another Solo, there's a new piece of information that's bound to lift the spirits of any Star Wars fan. Rumor has it, this script is the best one yet.

Concept artist Iain McCaig, who worked on The Force Awakens, not to mentioned designed characters Padmé Amidala and Darth Maul, is working on the new Han Solo film as well. Earlier in June, he appeared at the Art and Industry of Imagination conference in New Zealand and spilled this much about the new movie:

"By far the best Star Wars script, and one of the best scripts period, that I have ever read. I laughed, I cried, I did all the things you should do when reading a good script. You’re in for a treat."

According to McCaig, writer Lawrence Kasdan wrote the script for Han Solo: A Star Wars Story even before The Force Awakens. Kasdan's other screenplay credits include The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, as well as Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Teaming up with Lawrence Kasdan is his son, Jon Kasdan (Dawson's Creek, Freaks and Geeks) and George Lucas himself, writing the characters. Now, if only we could know whether or not they included any of these plot points...
