First Attack the Block, then the Force Awakens, and now John Boyega is onto a starring role in the sequel to Guillermo Del Toro's 2013 blockbuster: Pacific Rim which is scheduled to hit theaters in 2018. Many speculated what kind of character Boyega would play and just today, Boyega himself posted this picture on his Facebook page with the caption:

Dad's legacy

What Does This Mean?

Well, this will include spoilers for the first movie so there is your fair warning: Idris Elba's character Stacker Pentecost died in the first movie during the big climax. Boyega's post more than likely reveals that his character is the son of Stacker, which will be very interesting to see: Is he going to be bitter about the Jaeger Program because of his father's death? Is he going to be gun-ho about getting in a Jaeger to get revenge on some (possibly new) Kaiju? Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime I have to ask:

What do YOU think of this reveal? Do you love it or hate it? Let me know in the comments down below and I hope you all enjoyed!
