Five sisters in 19th century England must cope with the pressures to marry while protecting themselves from a growing population of zombies.

I originally heard of this film a while ago when Natalie Portman was originally intended to play Elizabeth Bennet and after reading up on what this film was about, I was instantly interested.

Even though Natalie Portman was no longer starring in it, I was still interested in watching this.

I regret that decision now!

To me, this was just Pride and Prejudice with just a little bit of zombie in it to make it a different film. I expected a lot more of them in the film; they are just mostly in the background and so very, very easily disposed of.

I didn’t find any of the characters interesting, nor did I care if they lived or died. In fact, I had my fingers crossed something would happen to Darcy, who I found to be a very irritating dick! But I was disappointed to learn that that was nothing compared to Parson Collins, played by Matt Smith, who was just an infuriating, bumbling idiot the whole time.

The special effects were good, the zombie design was basic but still looked brilliant as were the costume and set designs. The opening credits were interesting, which told the story of how it happened, is told through looking in a pop-up book!

I don’t know if it was expectations but I had high hopes for this film, it had so much potential but I fell it was absolutely wasted!

If you hadn’t gathered from the above stellar review, I won’t be watching this again!
