While The Legend of Tarzan might not have been the chest-thumping success Warner Bros. hoped for when it swung into theaters this past weekend, the movie has left behind more than a soul-piercing vision of Alexander Skarsgård's bulging bod, standing in the middle of a jungle before punching a gorilla square in the face.

I'm talking about anecdotes — or rather, one anecdote in particular, involving a steamy sex scene between Skarsgård and co-star Margot Robbie.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, director David Yates (the guy behind the final four Harry Potter installments) recalled:

"They're doing this love scene together, and I said [to Robbie], 'Just slap Alex while you're making love, just kind of give him a punch.' It was sort of an earthy, sensual moment of her enjoying sex with Alex, and the only bruise he picked up during the entire shoot was probably that punch from Margot. Which says a lot about her feistiness."

It certainly does say a lot about her feistiness, and renders critic claims of the movie being "sluggish" and "dull" questionable indeed; for I feel no movie in which Margot Robbie puts lumps and bruises this Nordic god during a passionate wild romp could be described as such — don't you agree?
