Ghost In The Shell came out in the mid-'90s and became an instant hit, spawning different OVA, series, movies, and now a live-action Hollywood movie. Fans have expressed their love for this cyberpunk anime in various way — either by purchasing the Tachikoma action figure or cosplaying as their favorite character.

One of such cosplayer is Adelhaid, who brought Ghost In The Shell's main character Major Motoko Kusanagi to life in these beautiful pictures. Fans of the series will certainly recognize a few of these scenes.

Public Security Section 9

Motoko Kusanagi, or better known as The Major, is the one of the main characters in the Ghost In The Shell anime and manga series. She is a cyborg employed as the the commanding officer of Public Security Section 9, a fictional division of the real Japanese National Public Safety Commission. Their mission is to investigate cyber-crimes, and respond to technology-based threats and terrorism.

Major Motoko Kusanagi

Although many of the Public Security Section 9 member have backstory, Motoko Kusanagi is a bit of a mystery. What little is known about her is that she was involved in a plane crash when she was only a child. Consequently, she underwent full cyberization at a young age, with only a portion of her brain not being cyberized.

As you can see, Adelhaid's cosplay perfectly captured The Major as the strong and detached leader of Public Security Section 9.
