As we know Ben Affleck made his debut as new Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans have been debating whether or not Christian Bale portrayed a better Batman than Ben Affleck.

Batman Begins

Christian Bale first appeared as Batman in the film Batman Begins (2005) and the film was excellent but what he showed how Batman trained under Ra's Al Ghul and was first affiliated with League of Assassins. It went in depth to how his parents go shot and the aftermath behind the shooting. Christian Bale showed how passionate Bruce Wayne was about becoming the Caped Crusader. He even show how he travel the world for this quest and dismantle the League of Assassins in order to live by his ideals. The film actually went in depth at how he had first began as The Crusader of Gotham, the film featured Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul as the antagonist in the movie. Ra's Al Ghul is not really in costume as in costume as in the comics, and I felt that Bale was trying to hard to play the voice instead of having a voice modifier like in some of the comics (he sounded like smoker most wanted). Christian however did show the intelligent side of Batman that made him a force not to be trifled with. Also he did look the part in a way and portrayed an overall acceptable Batman.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

The Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice overall a disappointing film and fans were outraged by how it turned out. The movie was overall confusing because it kept switching storylines and should've stuck to one storyline and went in depth to each storyline and connected with the fans. During the film we see the Dark Knight have a contentious plan to get rid of the Man of Steel. The most good that came of the film is that it was leading to the forming of the Justice League and even showed cameos of the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. Fans were also excited to see Gal Gadot make her debut as Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot said:

I didn’t want to do the obvious role that you see in Hollywood most of the time, which is the heartbroken girl who’s waiting to be rescued by the guy, blah, blah, blah.

she evens has a Wonder Woman (2017) film. The film also had an unexpected twist in the end that Superman dies due to him defeating Doomsday but lead to the creation of Batman seeking to form a Justice League. Ben Affleck said to role as Batman:

I don’t want to compete with other incarnations, nor do I want to emulate them. Those versions belong in another universe. Christopher Nolan used his Batman to tell a finite story. My version is different, but remains faithful to the Batman mythology and all the themes associated with it. The other difference is that Nolan’s Batman isn’t part of a universe where other superheroes exist as well. Here – because we’re working towards the Justice League – there’s Superman, and it’s a world populated with super beings. This situation generates an altogether new reality.

Ben Affleck's Portrayal

Ben Affleck didn't show how intellectual and well thought out Batman could be. However he showed how fearful the Dark Knight could be. To me he wasn't showing what makes Batman different from all his opponents: technique and out-of-the box thinking. With every Batman he always has a well thought out plan. Although he look the part they didn't give more details on how he became Batman like were he: learned his skills, but the graphic were excellent like for example: the Batcave, the Batmobile and the Batwing.

Christian Bale's Portrayal

This how Christian Bale reacted to Ben Affleck getting the role

When I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour. … But I'm 40. The fact that I'm jealous of someone else playing Batman. I think I should have gotten over it by now."

Christian Bale however did play in sequels the Dark Knight (2008) and the Dark Knight Rises (2012) and his overall experience is what makes him suitable for the role as Batman. What he showed was an introductions like: Ra's Ah Ghul, Scarecrow, The Joker, and Two Face, Catwoman, and Bane. Christian Bale how the character will do anything he has to in order to save his city and how calm, and how intellectual he can be and why he the World's Greatest Detective and how he acts in certain conditions. We also saw an emotionally stable Batman and that he had lovers like: Rachel Dawes, Selina Kyle and Talia Al Ghul.
