The internet's tongue has been wagging furiously over the state of Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk's relationship after a video of the model crying and being cruelly dismissed by her boyfriend at Wimbledon surfaced, but all is not what it seems.
If you haven't seen the footage yet, check out the clip of the miserable match below:
According to sources close to the couple, Irina's tears were indeed real, but they were caused by severe hay fever as opposed to bubbling relationship tension. And what about Bradley Cooper's side-eye? According to TMZ he was in fact speaking to retired tennis star Stefan Edberg who just so happened to be out of shot, which made it look like the actor was looking away from his girlfriend in disdain.
Another source also spoke out to E! News to give a simple statement in an attempt to stop the already churning rumor mill, they explained:
"They were not fighting. Everything is fine."
Other videos of the scene look a lot less damning as Bradley Cooper faces the court with a smile after the exchange.
Personally, I'm just amazed that TMZ is attempting to dispel rumors instead of stirring them up. Have I returned from vacation into a parallel universe?! One thing's for sure, BCoops hasn't had so much attention for such a small role since Sex and the City. Yes, that was a thing.
Do you think Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk were arguing?
