In the age of CGI, big budgets and unbelievable stunts, it's a great time to be an action star. And with three monster action franchises under his belt, it seems like Vin Diesel is making the most of the age of action. After starting out his career in the late 90s, Vin has steadily made himself the go-to man for anything involving fast cars and kick-ass fighting scenes, and at 50 he's showing absolutely no sign of slowing down!

If you loved him in The Fate of the Furious or xXx: Return of Xander Cage, you’ll be dying to know the next films where you can watch him in action. Unless you’re a die-hard fan, you might not know what upcoming Vin Diesel releases there are set to be and what he's up to in 2017. So to help keep you on top of his anticipated new movie releases, we've made a handy list of the next Vin Diesel films. From Avengers: Infinity War to Fast and Furious 9, the latest flicks from Diesel should get fans excited for these movies coming out.

  • Director: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
  • Cast: Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Zoe Saldana

Following on from reprising his role as Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Vin Diesel will once again voice the adorable Groot in the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War. Groot will no doubt be apart of the team that band together to take down the mammoth villain, Thanos. Depending on the events of Infinity War, Groot might also reappear in the follow up Avengers film, which is currently untitled but was formerly known as Avengers: Infinity War Part 2.

  • Release date: April 10, 2020
  • Director: TBA
  • Cast: Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson

After his foray to the bad side in Fate of the Furious we can only hope that the good side of Dom returns for Fast and the Furious 9. Vin Diesel is locked in to appear in this ninth installment of the franchise (of which he has appeared in seven of the films) alongside Tyrese Gibson (Roman). Lucas Black is also rumored to be reprising the role of Sean Boswell, a character first seen in Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and set to appear again in The Fate of the Furious.

3. 'Fast and Furious'

  • Release date: TBA
  • Director: TBA
  • Cast: TBA

So far Vin Diesel is the only actor locked in to appear in what is apparently the final installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. With no plot details released, we can only expect there will be countless amazing stunts and incredible cars in this final film, and I know a lot of fans will be keeping their fingers crossed for a Dominic Toretto spin-off series.

2. 'xXx 4'

  • Release date: TBA
  • Director: DJ Caruso
  • Cast: Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev

After Vin's return to the xXx franchise was so well received, it's been revealed that a fourth film is in pre-production. Not only has Vin himself confirmed that Paramount have contact him about a sequel, but it looks like xXx: Return of Xander Cage director DJ Caruso will return, as well as the majority of the main cast from the third installment.

1. 'Furia'

  • Release date: TBA
  • Director: TBA
  • Cast: TBA

In 2015, Vin revealed plans for a brand new installment in the Chronicles of Riddick franchise called Furia. Given Vin's tight schedule, production is yet to begin on the film, though he's estimated it should get underway in early 2017.

At the moment we're a little light on details of Furia, with Riddick screenwriter David Twohy keeping the plot tightly guarded, though we do know that it should be rated R. There are also plans in place for a TV spinoff titled Merc City.
