Last year, Arrow broke our hearts when the show decided to kill off one of its main vigilante, Laurel Lance aka The Black Canary. This decision brought much criticism for the show, and fans of the character thought we'd never see Laurel again kicking ass in the Arrowverse.

Luckily, we are in a world where resurrections, time-travel, and parallel universes are a thing, and it was not long before we saw the Earth-2 version of Laurel, Black Siren, who made a remarkable appearance during the second season of The Flash.

The CW seems to have appreciated the experience and decided to promote Katie Cassidy as a series regular on all the DC superhero shows of the network. Here's what Arrow producer Wendy Mericle had to say about it during the show's panel:

"We will definitely see [Katie Cassidy] in 501, and we have made a deal with her across Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, so Katie Cassidy is definitely not gone from this universe."

The fan can now rejoice because they will get to see what Laurel made Oliver promise on her deathbed during Eleven-Fifty Nine. From there, the ways Laurel could come back to the Berlanti-verse are endless, and every possibility is conceivable. Flashbacks, doppelganger, time-travel, resurrection, honestly it is hard to guess how the writers could fit in Laurel into Legends or The Flash, but they will undoubtedly find a way for her to come back.

I'd personally be game for Black Siren to return as a foe to our Legends Of Tomorrow as part of the Legion Of Doom. It would be amusing to see how Sara would react seeing her sister's evil doppelganger as an enemy.

The Black Canary is very much alive, and she is going to kick asses across all the universe.

Arrow returns October 5th on The CW.

Are You Glad The Black Canary Is Still Part Of The Arrowverse?
