Marvel is currently dominating the superhero market. Their shows - such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (R.I.P. Agent Carter) - have received critical acclaim and their cinematic universe is the highest-grossing franchise in history. There's no stopping the studio in 2016, as they still have one major cinematic release in the form of Doctor Strange and several new TV shows on the way.
With so many exciting Marvel TV series in the pipeline, fans (like myself) were expecting some type of news or footage about them during this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Well, it seems that will happen. Marvel's Chief Creative Officer, Joe Quesada, dropped through his personal Tumblr page the announcement of a new Marvel TV series trailer for Saturday, July 23, 2016. Here's what he said:
Fans that attended last year’s panel were treated to a never before seen (and hysterical) 8 minute outtake from Daredevil Season 1 and this year’s panel will be no different. If you’re a fan of our TV shows I’ll be premiering a trailer for a brand new show we’re working on. This will be the only time at the con that you’ll be able to see it so make sure to get there early.
Marvel's upcoming, confirmed TV shows include Cloak and Dagger, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders. While not much is known about these projects, many of them are far enough into development to be included on the list of the ones potentially dropping a trailer. However, one thing's for sure: A new trailer is coming this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. PST.
They already dropped teasers for Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and the Defenders, which you can see below:
What do you think the brand-new trailer might be? Take a guess in the comments!
