You can't deny that there's nothing quite like a good comedy to get your giggle on. And just as well that Hollywood is pretty good at churning out some decent humor on the movie front.

Whether you're into endearing chick-flicks, dramedies or films that simply make you go "LOL WTF!?," there's something out there for everyone. So with that being said, here are the new movies from late 2016, as well as the upcoming ones to look out for in 2017. Enjoy!

Who's in it? Zoey Deutch, Bryan Cranston, James Franco

Yet again, James Franco steps into a bold character in Why Him?, also starring Breaking Bad legend Bryan Cranston and Zoey Deutch. The premise of the story is pretty simple, but no less hilarious: Two parents go to visit their eldest daughter and meet her new boyfriend. Laird Mayhew is wealthy, famous and brutally honest about most things in life, which makes Ned (Cranston) hate his guts from the outset.

We've all been there — when you've been invited to a wedding and not knowing many people, you're seated solo at a table with strangers. Well, this so happens to be the premise of comedy Table 19, which sees an ex-maid of honor Eloise attending a ceremony to find her seated with randoms all in the same boat.

Who's in it? Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Priyanka Chopra

Finally, 2017 will give us ample opportunities to take a peek at Zac Efron's insanely ripped torso and a host of red-suited, bouncing babes making their way down the beach in Baywatch. The plot centers on two unlikely lifeguards (Johnson, Efron) who vie for positions to patrol the coasts of California but let's be real, you're not exactly going to be watching this one for the storyline.

'Despicable Me 3'

Release: June 30, 2017

Who's in it? Steve Carell, Kristen Wig, Trey Parker

The Despicable Me juggernaught returns for the third time, with Gru once again coming head-to-head with another rival — this time, Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who grows up to become obsessed with the role he played in the '80s.

And with a new villain to battle, Eggsy is made to work with an American spy agency to ensure the world can sleep safely once more.
