Thor: Ragnarok has been slowly gaining attention since it was first announced in 2014. Thor has had a bumpy ride as far as his solo big-screen adventures go, becoming, for many, the least anticipated entries in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. That may finally be changing with 2017's Thor: Ragnarok.
The superhero epic is not only a highly-anticipated film because of its arrival at such an advanced state of the MCU storyline, but for the classic plots and characters it's expected to introduce. One character that this film will adapt for the MCU is Skurge, played by Karl Urban.
Skurge (more commonly portrayed as companion to Amora, The Enchantress) is one of the most talked-about aspects of the film. Fans are curious to know how he will fit into the storyline, whether he will be an important part of it and, of course, how he will look.
Given the character's usually massive appearance, many have been wondering if his looks will be achieved through CGI or perhaps old-school prosthetics. We can't confirm his size, but thanks to Karl Urban himself, we at least now know what his haircut will look like. The actor took to Twitter to share this picture of himself:
As seen in the image, without any CGI or makeup, Urban is already starting to feel ripped straight out of a Thor comic book and into a Midgard parking lot. Those of us with reservations over Urban in the role can start to see how his portrayal of Skurge will be and rest assured he's dedicated enough to the task to shave his head.
So here we have it, a first look at Skurge's haircut for Thor: Ragnarok. Hopefully, he proves an intimidating and worthy adversary to give even the God of Thunder a run for his money.
Do you like Skurge's haircut? Are you excited for Thor: Ragnarok?
