Rob Zombie's new film 31 has a release date of September 16th, but horror fans are in for a real treat. Zombie is teaming up with Fathom Events to release his new film earlier, for ONE special night. 31 will premiere on September 1st! Tickets will go on sale this Friday, August 5th. So after watching Suicide Squad be sure to go online and get your tickets for 31.
This one night premiere will give fans some very interesting extras. The film will also premiere Zombie's new music video "Gore Horror", which seems very appropriate for this film. We will also see a Q&A with Rob Zombie and behind the scenes look of 31. This film stars Sheri Moon Zombie, of course, Meg Foster, Malcolm McDowell, and Richard Brake, who looks terrifying as Doom-Head. Rob Zombie has always pushed the limits when directing his films. Some films have worked better than other, but none the less have earned Rob Zombie a spot as a great modern day director.
House of 1000 Corpses was his debut film and really showed Zombie's love of horror. This feel was very disturbing and I expected nothing less. It was very reminiscent of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as was his sequel The Devil's Rejects. That film had one of the best end sequences in film history, in my opinion. Those films gave of some very interesting and horrifying characters, Otis, Spaulding, and Baby. One movie of his that I loved was the remake of Halloween. I know people have mixed reactions to this film, but I think he did a great job. He gave us a Michael Myers who looked incredibly terrifying and gave us a different look at Michael Myers. I'm very excited to see 31 and where Zombie goes from here. Check out the trailer for 31 below.
