Are we ever going to see a remake of The Crow? Well there's a good chance we may. No matter how hard Relativity try, they just cannot seem to get any movement whatsoever on remaking the gothic superhero film. But now Justice League actor Jason Momoa is reportedly in talks to star as Eric Draven a.k.a. The Crow.
For years, the story of The Crow being remade has just been a never-ending revolving door of talent. Jack Huston, Luke Evans, Tom Hiddleston are just a few of the actors that have either been rumored or actually in talks for the role of Eric Draven. Last year we even got confirmation that Jack Huston (Ben-Hur) was cast in the role, only for him to drop out not long after. But now, former Khal Drogo and current Aquaman, Jason Momoa, could take on the role as he is reportedly in talks to play the undead vigilante.
Momoa seemingly confirmed that a deal had been made as he posted a photo to his Instagram of him and The Crow remake director Corin Hardy shaking hands over a pint of Guinness.
Momoa wasn't even on my radar to take on the role of Draven. After all, he's a much larger man than Brandon Lee, who starred in the original Alex Proyas-directed film. But Momoa certainly has the ability to go dark and dangerous.
The story revolves around a young man named Eric Draven who, along with his fiancée, are attacked and left for dead. Eric, however, is resurrected by a crow and sets out to get to brutal revenge.
Momoa really blew up and entered the spotlight after his role on Game of Thrones as the intimidating Khal Drogo. He now plays Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe.
