September 14th can't come fast enough. We've been getting hints from the producers of American Horror Story for a few weeks now alluding to the possible theme for Season 6. They've showed all sorts of teasers, each alluding to a very different potential storyline. But today, via the American Horror Story Facebook page, they've dropped another eerie teaser — and this one may hint at a potential casting announcement. Check it out below.

The format is interesting, teasing a possible gothic theme for Season 6 with the very Nosferatu-like shadow creeping over the post, German Expressionism style. Even more interesting is the sole comment placed below the video. At first sight it's just a ruse to make the post look like a Facebook post and showcase the shadow trick. Look a little closer and you'll see the profile picture is of Emma Robert's American Horror Story: Freak Show character, Maggie Esmerelda. Her name is a hybrid of Maggie, her character in Freak Show, and Roberts, her actual name.

Roberts was featured in American Horror Story: Coven as a sort of mean girl witch leading the girls of a New Orleans coven. She returned for American Horror Story: Freak Show, playing Maggie Esmerelda, an undercover fortune teller grappling with the malicious plans she and her accomplice have schemed up. As of yet there has been no confirmation of Roberts returning to the series but she expressed interest at Comic-Con recently. Especially since she already has another spooky show over on Fox, Scream Queens, heading into its second season.

Could this strange use of her image and name in the Facebook teaser allude to her returning to the show this season, even if only for some small role? Furthermore (and most especially if she does only return for a small part), could her comment "the anticipation is killing me" be some tiny suggestion that whatever role Roberts plays will be one that ends in death?

Of course all of these teasers from AHS (the most recent one above) need to be taken with quite a few grains of salt: FX CEO John Landgraf told us this week they've purposefully been putting out false teasers as misdirects. At the Television Critics Association press tour he stated:

"...and what [head of marketing] Stephanie [Gibbons] and her team, with Ryan’s help, did was they went out and made many more trailers than you’ve actually seen for hypothetical seasons of 'American Horror Story'. Different genres, different places. I think they’re really fun and funny and beautifully, artfully made… and a lot of them are accurate. The others are all misdirects.”

Based on leaked photos from the set of Season 6 and Ryan Murphy making comments alluding to "elements of our children" being present in Season 6, my money is on the below teaser being the one hinting at the truth of the setting for Season 6. Puritans and their ilk are quite hot right now, if you don't believe me, go watch the The Witch.
