Any fan of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones is aware of the overnight sensation known as Lyanna Mormont, played by Bella Ramsey. In just one episode ('The Broken Man,' the seventh episode in the sixth season) she became the baddest bitch on a show full of bad bitches. In a follow-up episode ('Battle of the Bastards') her brief appearance became a viral meme-fest. Then, in the closing moments of the sixth season's finale ('The Winds of Winter'), Ramsey gave one of the best adrenaline-pumping monologues to ever grace the show, rivaling even Peter Dinklage's performance as Tyrion Lannister in the 'Trial by combat' speech of the fourth season's episode 'The Laws of Gods and Men.'
Despite never having acted before, and not even having an agent, Bella Ramsey's sudden emergence as a fan favorite has put her on the lists of casting directors worldwide. As we wait for her future casting notices to roll in, I cant help but wonder which other actresses on the show may be about to break out. Here are five more Game Of Thrones Guest Stars that I believe we will see much more of in the future.
5. Keisha Castle-Hughes
Keisha, who plays Obara Sand, is no stranger to acting, having first appeared in the 2002 film Whale Rider, and while many may not recognize her name, throw a little make up on her and Star Wars fans may recognize her as the Queen of Naboo in Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith. She is also a series regular on the Cameron Crowe's series Roadies. (A series Showtime is rumored to be cancelling after its first season.) Castle-Hughes is currently attached to several upcoming projects, including the feature Thank You For Your Service from American Sniper writer Jason Hall.
4. Kerry Ingram
Ingram played the greyscale-stricken Princess Shireen Baratheon and had some great moments with father-figure Davos Seaworth. And while the Red Witch Melisandre ensured she would not be returning for more episodes after season five, Kerry has several projects in the works. Now 17, the young actress has turned an episode appearance on the History Channel tv series Barbarians Rising into a lead role in Numb directed by Declan O'Dwyer.
3. Sibel Kekilli
Where would Tyrion be without Sibel's character arc? Sibel, the former porn star who played Tyrion's prostitute lover Shae, was a recurring character through 20 episodes, ending with one last romp in the bed with Tyrion. I feel her acting skills are sometimes discounted because of her past as a porn star, but she had strong scenes with both Tyrion and Sansa throughout the show. She has also had a recurring role in the long-running German Crime Drama Tatort and is attached as lead in the feature film Im Feuer directed by Daphne Charizani.
2. Jessica Henwick
Jessica Henwick already has a resume most veteran actors would salivate over. Not only does she play the recurring character Nymeria Sand on Game of Thrones, she was also in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, playing rebel pilot Jess Testor. That said, both were relatively small roles. Fans will get to know her a lot better in 2017 when her lead character Colleen Wing debuts on Marvel's Iron Fist.
1. Rosabell Laurenti Sellers
Show devotees can't forget Rosabell's conversation as Tyene Sand, in which she teased Bronn in a Dornish prison. Her turn as 'the most beautiful woman in the world' certainly caught everyone's attention. Sellers has a lead role in the Klaus Menzel movie What About Love, which comes out in 2017, in which she stars alongside fellow Thrones actor Iain Glen and Sharon Stone. But, impressively, she has stepped back from booking roles to finish out her Masters Degree in acting at London's prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama. That school has turned out actors such as Hayley Atwell, Orlando Bloom, Ewan McGregor, and Daniel Craig, among others.
The film industry is a sometimes ruthless industry and it is a gamble whether all, or none, of these actresses will have long productive careers, but given the popularity of Game of Thrones they have one hell of a head start.
