Every so often, a movie comes along which feels like it was designed to give you a serious sleep problem. If you're anything like me, you welcome that movie with open arms.

Fox just dropped the latest video for their horror-tinged sci-fi thriller Morgan, a movie which seems to fit that bill perfectly. The central concept of Luke Scott's (son of the legendary Alien director Ridley) Morgan, is that a child-like enhanced human who was created and raised in a lab becomes too powerful for her creators to control. In the wake of a violent "incident" risk consultant Lee Weathers (Kate Mara) is called in and tasked with deciding whether or not Morgan should be terminated.

Sounds pretty creepy, right? Unlike the previous trailer, this video shows us a younger Morgan playing with her handlers in the grounds of the lab, some time before the mysterious incident that calls for Weathers to assess whether or not Morgan should live. We then see the tables flipped as Morgan goes rogue. Check out the new Beautiful Baby video, which gleefully toys with our emotions in classic thriller tradition, below:

It's a pretty twisted premise: How much sympathy can you feel for a dangerous, super-advanced being who looks like an innocent little girl? And when she's surrounded by adults playing God with her life, who's really the villain? Is anybody sympathetic? There are echoes of another recent sci-fi mind-screw here, the excellent Ex-Machina, and fans of that movie will definitely find plenty to love about Morgan.

The cast is also top-rate: Joining Kate Mara are Boyd Holbrook (Narcos) are Toby Jones (Captain America: The First Avenger), Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones), Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), Paul Giamatti (Straight Outta Compton) and, as Morgan, the talented Anya Taylor-Joy, last seen creeping the living hell out of you in horror flick The Witch.

Morgan hits theaters September 2 in the US. Don't miss it.
