Entertainment Weekly's first ever #PopFest promises to showcase a who's who of Hollywood, treating attendees to exclusive screenings, panel discussions and a bunch of sneak peeks across its two-day event. Held in Downtown LA from October 29–30, PopFest will celebrate the best in entertainment — just check out this stellar lineup below:
Laugh until your sides hurt with Brit comedian James Corden, swoon over exclusive footage of the Gilmore Girls revival, then get spooky with Ryan Murphy and friends — and that's just the start. 1. A Strange Occurrence — Friday October 28
Riding the hype train of Marvel's Doctor Strange, Friday October 28 will see strange things going on at PopFest. The first 300 people to buy an exclusive two-day VIP ticket will be invited to a preview screening of the film before general release across the US. This will be followed by a by a Q&A session with director Scott Derrickson. Who could pass up on a chance to see Doctor Strange before everybody else does? Start stroking your Cumber-beards with smug anticipation.
2. Superheroes Unite — Saturday October 29
Superhero powerhouse Greg Berlanti is heading up a famous five of comic book crusaders. The uber producer behind some of DC's greatest TV shows will talk us through his creations; namely, how he went from Arrow in 2012 to Supergirl in 2015. There will a special Q&A with fans in which Berlanti will be joined by The Flash's Grant Gustin, Arrow's Stephen Amell, Supergirl's Melissa Benoist, and Legends of Tomorrow's Caity Lotz. It's sure to be a super event.
3. Something Supernatural — October 29
The Winchester brothers Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will be at PopFest, looking back at their 11 years on Warner Bros.' Supernatural. The dreamboat duo will be talking about what makes their show one of the longest-running fantasy series of all time, and what the rest of the 12th series will bring. Someone is sure to ask if the show should continue, but you know what they say — 13 is unlucky for some.
4. A Happy Ending — Saturday October 30
If you were a fan of ABC's Happy Endings, you will know it was sadly cut down in its prime. Fear not, because PopFest offers a new episode of the show. That's right, creator David Caspe and his team have written a whole new story, which will be read by the series' stars Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Adam Pally, Damon Wayans Jr. and Casey Wilson. Yep, the whole gang is back together.
5. Jenny From The Block — Sunday October 30
Jennifer Aniston will be at PopFest to promote her upcoming comedy Office Christmas Party. The lovely Jen will be joined by co-stars including T.J. Miller, Olivia Munn, and Emmy Award-winning Courtney B. Vance from The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. Christmas is coming early as the cast unite with directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon to discuss this year's hotly anticipated comedy ahead of its December 9 release. Ho-ho-ho-larious.
6. Beast Mode — Sunday October 30
Although the next chapter in the Harry Potterverse isn't released until November, PopFest is getting a jump on the competition with its promotion for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Serving as the prequel to the popular Harry Potter film series, lead actor Eddie Redmayne will be there to screen some exclusive footage. Coming to cinemas on November 18, the film follows Redmayne's Newt Scamander while he explores 1926 New York with his suitcase full of magical creatures, alongside a cast that includes Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell and Ezra Miller. Doesn't that sound out of this world?
7. Feeling A Little Grey? — Sunday October 30
Happy hour at Joe's never ends with the cast of Grey's Anatomy. Although Ellen Pompeo is stuck in surgery, PopFest will be joined by Grey's alumni Jessica Capshaw, Sarah Drew, Jason George, Jerrika Hinton, Camilla Luddington and Kelly McCreary. The team of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital will be bringing EW's popular Three Rounds to life.
8. Scream If You Wanna Go Faster — October 30
For those night owls among us, Saturday night is rounded off with a performance by the sultry Nick Jonas, while Sunday wraps up with a very gory story indeed. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Wes Craven's sarcastic slasher, there will be a special screening of Scream. Following Craven's death last year, what better way to immortalize the horror maestro and close out an amazing weekend?
