Could be the movie to normalize gay relationships in a way we've never seen before? outed Dumbledore back in 2007 but we've never seen the story of his love life told within the Potterverse canon. In a recent interview with Variety, Rowling hinted that we may get to see more of the real Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts, not the Headmaster, not the Supreme Mugwump, but the man himself:

"I would like to say because this is obviously a five-part story, there’s lots to unpack in that relationship. You will see Dumbledore as a younger man and quite a troubled man. We’ll see him at that formative period of his life. As far as his sexuality is concerned... watch this space."

As a fully-fledged, Harry Potter-lovin' gay, seeing Dumbledore's gay relationships unfurl on screen might even make my cry more than this scene:
