Have you ever been eagerly looking forward to a blissful TV sesh of your favorite show when someone drops a big, fat spoiler into your lap? You still watch the show, but your joy is tainted by knowing that you've been robbed of the element of surprise.

's Negan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, confirmed to BUILD that the showrunners film more deaths than they need to make plot leaks more difficult. Morgan says that he filmed alternate victims for the Season 7 premiere, featuring Maggie and another unnamed character falling victim to Lucille's kiss.

"It wasn't just for the dream sequence. It was also for... They edited a full version of Maggie being the victim... and someone else. And it was all a red herring. It was all to possibly be released before our episode was going to air, because there's so many people out there trying to spoil the show."

It's a good thing Maggie didn't die, or we'd never have seen her epic multi-zombie-kill in her trusty tractor.

Obviously social media is a minefield for those trying to avoid spoilers. A photo of one of the zombiefied deaths for the Season 7 mid-season finale popped up on my Facebook feed about three seconds before I watched the episode — bummer. Maybe The Walking Dead team can film multiple kills for everything and create an endless alternative universe where everybody and nobody dies. I'd watch that.

After the mid-season break, The Walking Dead resumes Season 7 on February 12, 2017.
