Flash Of Two Worlds: Grant Gustin Shares Message Of Support For Ezra Miller's Flash
Back when Warner Bros. and DC revealed that they would be casting a brand new Flash in their extended film universe, it divided a lot of people. On one hand, some thought it was wise to separate their film universe from The CW TV series to avoid confusion, while fans of the show thought it undermined the acclaimed series.
Furthermore, some thought it showed a lack of support towards the show's star #GrantGustin, who has done an incredible job portraying Barry Allen/The Flash for over three years. And when the first look at Miller's Flash was finally revealed in #JusticeLeague promotional material last year, fans were quick to compare the two Scarlet Speedsters.
However, despite the confusion, most of us are excited to finally see Miller in action in Justice League, and none more so than Grant Gustin. The veteran Flash showed his support for his speedy counterpart when he praised the #DCEU version on Instagram. Check out the supportive post below:
The actor took the time to comment on a fan-made picture of both Gustin and Miller at Comic-Con. He wrote:
Ezra is absolutely the more established actor in film, with the acting chops to back it up. I’m excited to see what he does with Barry Allen/The Flash.
Setting A Superheroic Example
Gustin has been very vocal about his support of Ezra Miller in the past, and it's truly heart-warming to see. The young actor does an exceptional job on the #TV series and he continues to prove that he's a class act through touching gestures like this. Using his platform to convey his genuine excitement for Miller is undoubtedly setting a superheroic example. And it's only fair that fans follow in the superhero's footsteps.
From the footage we have seen of Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, it looks like he's set to give us a unique and original interpretation of the character, set apart from Gustin's. Thus, it's important that we don't pre-judge Miller or Warner Bros. when they will likely surprise us.
Fans of the Scarlet Speedster are lucky, because we don't just have one amazing Flash — we have two. Gustin has proven himself as both an amazing actor and superhero on the TV series and I have no doubt that Miller will do the same on the big screen. Run Barrys, Run.
